The Day of Atonement ---
A little over a year ago in a three day/night teaching, on the third night in preparation for the last part of the covenant series teaching, I was focusing on Covenant #6, The Book of the Law. For anybody that has not looked into our detailed covenant breakdown please consider our videos.
Well, there are many details I had been noticing as the reason why The Book of the Law (The Book of Deuteronomy) was written in the 40th year following the 40 yea...r penalty given the first generation out of Egypt (Deuteronomy 1:3), for the sin of the 10 spies despising the COVENANT LAND promised them (Numbers chapter 14).

The main staples of BLOOD COVENANT is what I was focusing on and WHY the Book of the Law was put next to the Ark of the Covenant (Deuteronomy 31:26), carrying the Ten Commandments -- the Covenant with Abraham's descendants. Long story made shorter I began seeing the FUNCTION of the DAY OF ATONEMENT in relation to BLOOD COVENANT and was being revealed that the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) was only practiced for their 40 years wondering in the desert. From the limited research I did, I could not find this specific FEAST DAY mentioned again in scripture.
There are only three Feasts mentioned many times after the Book of Deuteronomy (The Book of the Law), but again this one is not. See the chart below of when the FEAST was added and when the Book of the Law goes into effect.
Even in Solomon's day there were only THREE FEASTS mentioned. This is super cool to see "WHY". It is the "WHY'S" of scripture that CHANGE YOU... and lightbulbs have turned on for us all over the place in scripture in seeing this covenant foundation.
Look at this verse regarding Solomon's day. This surely would have been a good time to mention THE DAY OF ATONEMENT. The Day of Atonement played a function of ATONING for sins as a community AFTER they broke the covenant with he sin of the golden calf.
2 CHRONICLES 8:12-13
Then Solomon offered burnt offerings to Yahuah on the altar of Yahuah which he had built before the vestibule, according to the daily rate, offering according to the commandment of Moses, for the Sabbaths, the New Moons, and the THREE YEARLY APPOINTED FEASTS (Quoting the Book of the Law, Deuteronomy chapter 16 -- not Leviticus 23)—the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks, and the Feast of Tabernacles.
